STATEMENT

I am a Dancer, Choreographer, teacher and instructor who has worked in the professional contemporary dance sector for the past 10 years.

During that time, I have always been committed to make my dreams of establishing a successful career in dance a reality believing that commitment is the key to successfully achieving your goals in life.

I have been fortunate enough to have had the opportunity to live and work in 10 different countries in Europe and Asia as well as traveling and performing to other amazing places thank to this career.

It all started when I was 16 years old, when I decided to audition and enter the Conservatoire of Barcelona and become a professional Dancer. Even at the start, I knew I wanted to become a great artist and I knew the path to do that was to work in different dance companies so I could learn from other choreographers so that one day, I could reflect that experience in my own movement, creations, and knowledge of my body.

Since then I have been fortunate enough to work with renowned choreographers around the world as well as meeting other dancers, stage and lighting technicians, directors, musicians. I have learnt so much from them but also other artists and the experience of living in different cultures and different cities with different architecture. All of that has made me who I am today as an artist but it is also a journey which is ongoing and will never stop.

One of the most memorable experiences was when I was a 19-year-old student when I went to Oslo and fell in love with the Opera house. I wished so badly to perform there one day. Fast forward to 2013 and I achieved my dream performing there with a dance piece of Jo Strømgen. Similarly, I visited Hong Kong and Singapore when I was 20, amazed by these Asian cities. Seven years later, I was invited to be part of the i-Dance festival in Hong Kong in 2015 to perform my solo and work for Y-Space company.  I then auditioned and completed a two-year contract for the Singaporean national repertoire company Frontier Danceland.  Life can surprise you but I also believe if you fight for things you love you can get it.

What I love about dance is that I can make connections and collaborate with other artists. It is a sharing of moments in the studio where everyone learns from each other and we can then present that to  the audience.

I am an enthusiastic person, passionate and full of energy and this is reflected through my dance.
